چکیده

The hyper-velocity star S5-HVS1, ejected 5 Myr ago from the Galactic Center at 1800 km/s, was most likely produced by tidal break-up of a tight binary supermassive black hole SgrA*. Taking Monte Carlo approach, we show that former companion S5-HVS1 main-sequence between 1.2 and 6 solar masses captured into highly eccentric orbit with pericenter distance in range 1-10 AU semimajor axis about $10^3$ AU. We then explore fate star. find heat deposited tidally excited stellar oscillation modes leads to runaway disruption if is smaller than 3 Over past Myr, its angular momentum has been significantly modified orbital relaxation, which may stochastically drive inwards below cause disruption. an overall survival probability 5% 50%, depending on local relaxation time close environment star, initial capture. surviving migrated 10-100 AU, making it potentially extreme member S-star cluster. From ejection rate S5-HVS1-like stars, estimate there currently be few stars such orbits. They should detectable (typically Ks < 18.5 mag) GRAVITY instrument future Extremely Large Telescopes hence provide extraordinary probe spin

An unbound hyper - velocity subluminous O star

We report the discovery of an unbound hyper-velocity star, US 708, in the Milky Way halo, with a heliocentric radial velocity of +708±15 km s −1. A quantitative NLTE model atmosphere analysis of optical spectra obtained with LRIS at the Keck I telescope shows that US 708 is an extremely helium-rich (N He /N H =10) subluminous O type star with T eff = 44 500 K, log g = 5.23 at a distance of 19 k...

HVS 7 : a chemically peculiar hyper - velocity star ⋆

Context. Hyper-velocity stars are suggested to originate from the dynamical interaction of binary stars with the supermassive black hole in the Galactic centre (GC), which accelerates one component of the binary to beyond the Galactic escape velocity. Aims. The evolutionary status and GC origin of the hyper-velocity star SDSS J113312.12+010824.9 (aka HVS 7) is constrained from a detailed study ...

The spectrum of the hyper-star graphs and their line graphs

Let n 1 be an integer. The hypercube Qn is the graph whose vertex set isf0;1gn, where two n-tuples are adjacent if they differ in precisely one coordinate. This graph has many applications in Computer sciences and other area of sciences. Inthe graph Qn, the layer Lk is the set of vertices with exactly k 1’s, namely, vertices ofweight k, 1 k n. The hyper-star graph B(n;k) is...

Discovery of an Unbound Hyper-velocity Star in the Milky Way Halo

We have discovered a star, SDSS J090745.0+024507, leaving the Galaxy with a heliocentric radial velocity of +853± 12 km s, the largest velocity ever observed in the Milky Way halo. The star is either a hot blue horizontal branch star or a B9 main sequence star with a heliocentric distance ∼55 kpc. Corrected for the solar reflex motion and to the local standard of rest, the Galactic rest-frame v...
